A combination of the Universities Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) teams banner the Laguna leg of the National Basketball Championship (NBC) Inter-High which fires off on Nov. 8 at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.
Many-time UAAP junior champion National University-Laguna clash with NCAA connection Lyceum of the Philippines University-Laguna, St.Benilde International School, and Mapua Malayan Colleges in the eight-team knockout tournament presented by Jamsap Entertainment Corporation headed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jojo Flores.
Other teams vying for pride, honor, and the rights to represent Laguna in the win-or-go-home format tourney for the South Luzon Championship are Liceo De Cabuyao, Liceo De Cavinti, Maranatah Christian Academy, and Queen Anne School of Sta. Rosa.
This is the second leg for the South Luzon qualifying for the NBC Inter-High with a target [participation of over 200 private schools nationwide. The Cavite leg is still ongoing, while all systems go for the Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon legs.
"We're excited about the participation of schools with UAAP and NCAA connection. Through, this we assured the basketball fans of high-level and competitive basketball," said Flores.
