St. Benilde International picked up from where it left off by beating Queen Anne School, 103-67, on Thursday and claimed the right to face Mapua in the winner-take-all championship in the Laguna leg of the National Basketball Championship (NBC) Inter-high at the Cabuyao Stadium.
The Baby Blazers took a 47-39 lead at halftime and stretched the margin to 28 points they never relinquished to grab the chance to dispute the Laguna leg diadem against Mapua in the tournament organized by Jamsap Entertainment Corporation headed by Chief Executive Officer Jojo Flores.
It's an all-NCAA duel for the right to represent Laguna as Benilde plays Mapua in the winner-take-all finals slated on Friday (Nov. 10) at 10:00 a.m. at the Cabuyao Stadium.
Five Benildian led by C. Balagtas scored double-digit sending a strong message to other teams in this tournament sponsored by Mommy's Garden Cafe' Restaurant Events, Sipao's Sports Park, Cabbana Packaging, Daddy's Carwash, Miel's Artisan Cafe', Batang Pilipino Basketball League, Provincial Government of Laguna and Denha.
