It’s time to shine for the eight Manila schools as the National Capital Region (NCR) leg of the inaugural National Basketball Championship (NBC) Inter-High unwraps on Wednesday (Oct. 18) at the Amoranto Sports Complex in Quezon City.
Holy Trinity Academy faces off against Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School in the first of four knockout games in the tournament for boys 19-under from private schools presented by Jamsap Entertainment Corporation headed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jojo Flores.
The win-or-go-home match is set at 10:00 a.m. shortly after the opening ceremony at 9:00 p.m. with Commissioner Arwind Santos will welcome all participants and guests.
Nazarene Catholic School battles Far Eastern University-Diliman at 1:00 p.m. followed by the duel between Jaime Cardinal Sin Learning Center and San Felipe Neri Catholic School at 3:00 p.m. before the eliminations wrap at 5:00 p.m. with a match involving St. Mary’s College-QC vs STI-Munoz.
Winners in the elimination round return in the Final Four crossover knockout game with the winner disputing the winner-take-all championship match.
“We’re very excited with the Manila leg series. After the Pampanga championship, we’ve expected a high-level action as all participating schools are dying to represent Manila in the National Finals,” said Flores.
On Monday, Pampanga College Titans claimed the Pampanga leg title.
