There is a reason why the Philippines is called the text capital of the world and eventually the social media capital of the world. While it’s true that we have quickly adapted to the rise of technology and more people have access to the cellphone and internet, the actual reason for bagging such titles is because we Filipinos love to communicate with family and friends—ALL THE TIME.
Admit it- we like to talk. We enjoy exchanging stories, ideas, opinions and yes, gossipthus, the birth of the term Maritess that we are all familiar now. Sure, CCTV is helpful. But nothing beats a walking CCTV (the maritess around us) to bring the latest ‘happening’ around ussjo and narrate it with animated action and add opinion.
Despite the constantly changing world and the fast-paced life around us, we are still traditional. We want someone we could relate to, someone who understands our sentiments as viewers, fans and humans.
As heated debate rise online because AI (Artificial Intelligence) will soon be doing the sports broadcast of a tv network, JAMSAP TV under the umbrella of JAMSAP Entertainment Corporation expressed their stand that they still prefer ‘humans’ to do their news reports and sports broadcasts.
“I don’t mind if other networks would want to use AI in bringing their news- that’s their decision. But I can assure our subscribers and long-time followers that we at JAMSAP TV will remain traditional in this sense. We still want ‘humans’ and ‘real people’ to deliver our news especially in sports,” said Jojo Flores, CEO of JAMSAP Entertainment Corporation.
He also added that while he is happy that tv industry is evolving, he wants to maintain that ‘human touch’ when it comes to bringing the news, especially in sports. He said that it takes skills and passion to be able to deliver sports news.
“We can’t expect the same excitement, the same hype from AI compared to traditional broadcasters. They may be perfect but we also want to feel some emotion when watching sports news. We want to watch someone who can share our happiness and excitement with every victory.”
This is why JAMSAP TV continue to look for talented, skilled and passionate sportscaster and courtside reporters who could join their growing tv family.
