Holy Trinity crashes STI, clinched NBC Inter-High Final slots

Holy Trinity Academy came out in full-throttled and needed just one period to settle the matter against rival STI-Munoz, 112-49, on Thursday in the crossover semifinals of the Manila leg of the inaugural National Basketball Championship (NBC) Inter-High at the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City.

The HTA starters all scored in double digits with Erick Cordano and Mart Jagonoy leading with 23 and 22 points, respectively.

Holy Trinity closed the second half, 56-26, and never looked back advancing to the winner-take-all championship duel in the tournament for boys 19-under from private schools presented by Jamsap Entertainment Corporation headed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jojo Flores.

HTA will dispute the NCR title in a winner-take-all game on Oct. 25 against the winner between UAAP reigning UAAp champion Far Eastern University and San Felipe Neri Catholic School which is still playing as of press time.
