Dr. Leonida Bayani-Ortiz is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institution of Singapore conferred to her last June 18, 2016 at the Jen Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, Manila. She was also conferred with a Degree of Doctor of Humanities, Honoris Causa by the Pampanga Agricultural University in 2010. She finished BS in Tourism at the University of the Philippines Asian Institute of Tourism as well as her BS in Business Administration at the Philippine Women’s University.
Dr. Ortiz was appointed as one of the Private Sector Commissioners of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) in 2014 until June 2017. She was President of the National Council of Women of the Philippines (NCWP), Inc. from 2013-2017. Dr. Ortiz also served as President of Soroptimist International (SI) of San Juan for biennium 2010-2012 and Assistant Treasurer of the SI Philippine Region for biennium 2018-2020.
She is presently the Governor of the Philippine Red Cross. Her previous position was that of Treasurer of the PRC for three terms and serves as Assistant Treasurer for 2017-2018.
She is guided by the golden rule, “Do unto others what you want
others to do unto you.”
